Why I Choose to Write Stories Based On A True Story
I’ve always been drawn to real stories—biographies, true events, and reading stories that dive deep into people’s lives. Maybe it’s because my own life has unfolded across different countries, cultures, and countless unexpected turns. A good friend once told me, “You live the life of many people,” and that stayed with me.
The True Story of My Childhood
But my love for storytelling began much earlier. When I was just a little girl. My mom had an accident, and I started writing stories to make her feel better. They were a mix of real life and gentle fantasy, created to bring her comfort and maybe a little escape. Even back then, I think I understood something important: stories can heal. They give us something to hold on to when life feels too heavy. That understanding has only grown stronger with time.
Why I Write Real Stories
Now, I write not just to make sense of my own experiences, but to support others. I began writing for women because I am a woman myself, and I wanted to speak directly to female experiences. But I’m also planning to write for men, especially those who want to better understand women and the subtle, often invisible forms of abuse that can quietly take hold in everyday life.
I know firsthand how easy it is to mistake emotional exhaustion, self-doubt, and isolation for personal failure. For years, I didn’t realize I was trapped in a situation marked by control and emotional harm. I believed I was simply not trying hard enough or that I was failing. But now I understand this truth: silence, manipulation, and fear are not love.
And still, I’m learning—every day. Healing isn’t a straight path, and growth doesn’t happen all at once. That’s why I want to create a space where we can grow together. A space for truth, for strength, for the kind of connection that only comes when we share what we’ve lived through.
I believe stories give shape to pain, meaning to chaos, and light to the things we’ve kept buried for too long. Through stories, we begin to understand ourselves better, and help others feel less alone.
I’ve lived through experiences I never saw coming. I’ve started over, fallen apart, and rebuilt. And now, I want to bring those stories into the light, not just for me, but for those still searching for theirs.
We all carry stories worth telling. I’d love to hear yours. What have you survived, learned, or found your way through? Let’s start the conversation and keep it going.
Why I Decided to Write Stories Under a Pseudonym
I chose the pseudonym Lux Lucens because it comes from Latin, meaning “shining light” or “light that shines.” To me, this name symbolizes hope, clarity, and the courage to bring hidden truths into the light.
I decided to write real stories books based on true story under a pseudonym rather than my real name for a few important reasons. I don’t seek fame or public attention—I want my stories to stand on their own, without the distractions of personal recognition. Writing anonymously also helps me protect my privacy and avoid jealousy or misunderstandings from people who might not fully understand the experiences I share.
Using Lux Lucens allows me to connect authentically with readers while maintaining a safe space for myself. It’s about the message and the healing journey, not about me as a person.
What Happens When the American Dream Turns Dark?
When I was living through it, I didn’t even realize I was in the middle of a problem. I couldn’t see the full picture. It felt like I was drowning, barely keeping my head above water, too overwhelmed to step back and really understand what was happening. The problems were all around me, layered and constant. I felt trapped inside them, with no clear way out.
It wasn’t until later, when I had space and distance, that I could begin to see it clearly.
Writing The Book From Prague to Florida and Back has been one of the most intense experiences of my life. Full of emotional release, moments of clarity, and unexpected lessons.
This story isn’t just mine. It’s about all of us—about resilience, healing, and the strength we find in the darkest moments.
Who Should Read This Book—and Why
This real story book is for every woman who has ever thought that starting over might fix what’s broken—whether by moving to a new country, having another child, or trying to save a relationship that’s already falling apart.
It’s especially for mothers considering a move to the U.S., hoping for a fresh start. I know what that feels like—believing that a new place or a new beginning will somehow heal the pain you haven’t yet been able to name. I also know how easy it is to miss the warning signs, to confuse hope with escape, and to lose yourself in the process.
If you’ve ever felt silenced, stuck in survival mode, or unsure whether what you're living is normal, this story will speak to you. This book is for the brave, the exhausted, the unsure. For the ones still figuring it out. For those who’ve made it out, and those still searching for the way forward.
And for anyone considering a move to the U.S.—especially as a woman or a mother—this story is a powerful reminder to trust your instincts, protect your boundaries, be aware and never ignore the warning signs, even in paradise.
Because sometimes, the first step toward healing is simply seeing your story reflected in someone else’s.
